Welcome!

Welcome to the Daemon Productions Blog.
Here you will find updates, sneak peeks, and exclusive releases relevant to all of our current and future projects.

Our mission is to both promote and create narrative machinima series that contain complex characters, original plots, and thought-provoking themes. We believe that machinima is an art and a sub genre of Independent Film and should be treated as such.

'Manifest Destiny', 'Murphy's OnSet', 'Zantive', 'Halo Effect', 'Unexpected', and all other machinima series or individual videos listed below were created under Microsoft’s “Game Content Usage Rules” using assets from Halo 1 PC, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, and Halo Reach © Microsoft Corporation.

FAQ

Greetings comrades! We're very busy here at Daemon Productions, so before you message us to ask something, you should check here to see if we've already answered it!

Q: Will you read over my script/give me advice?
A: Yes, but only under a few conditions. First, I'm to be credited as a co-writer, and at some point in the credits a link to my blog should be provided. I provide this editing/advising service because I believe strongly in the machinima community and its potential for great storytelling, to the point where I'm willing to give my free time to help foster talent in the community. If you benefit from my advice (which I'm sure you will), it's only fair to both me and others that you spread the word so that others can benefit too. My second condition is that you act professional when both contacting and replying to me. While I don't expect every word of my advice to be taken (it is your script after all), I do expect that you at least listen to it. The advice I give is frank and it can be disheartening to see your piece get dissected and critiqued from every angle. I know, I've been there. It really sucks. But it's the only way writers get better.

Q: When will the next episode of _______ be completed?
A: In order to prevent a project from growing stale I'll often flit between other projects. While this ensures that I don't grow tired of working in the same mindset it can also mean long periods of time passing between episodes. There is also the simple fact that these videos take weeks if not months to make, and although I have a lot of great help we're a small group with a lot of outside responsibilities. Please be patient, the next episode will eventually be released.

Q: I'd like to write for Daemon Productions.
A: I've gotten a lot of requests for this recently. The problem is that we're perfectly fine when it comes to writers. Junkie, Sarge and I have more then enough material to film and frankly the idea of taking on new projects that we'd have to dedicate our resources to is just out of the question.

Q: How can I help Daemon Productions?
A: We always need more Directors. People who can bring their own experiences, equipment, and personal crew are always welcome. Like I said, we have more projects then we can tackle, so anyone who's willing to help film and edit one of our series will be more then welcome to do so. Now be forewarned, we're not going to be handing our precious projects off to just any old chump with a capture card and a few montages. When you apply to work with us you should have a portfolio of all your previous works readily available for us to look at.
